Why CANVeCT
Malaria burden remains high, with traditional control tools such as insecticide-treated nets facing challenges from growing insecticide resistance. New solutions are urgently needed to accelerate malaria elimination CANVICT is established to generate evidence on the effectiveness of spatial emanators as stand-alone tools and catalyze ther adoption.
SPATIAL EMANATORS
Spatial emanators are small, user-friendly devices for indoor use. They work by slowly releasing active ingredients into the ait to repel mosquitoes, preventing them from entering homes, approaching people or feeding, thereby reducing malaria transmission.
Outputs
Optimize the deployment and distribution of spatial emanatons, especially in high-transmission and humanitanan settings.
